Saturday, December 18, 2021, the Haleyville Chapters of the American Legion and Ladies Auxiliary participated in the National Wreaths Across America Day Memorial Ceremony.  Each December on National Wreaths Across America Day, the mission to Remember, Honor and Teach is carried out by coordinating wreath-laying ceremonies at Arlington National Cemetery, as well as at more than 2,500 additional locations in all 50 U.S. states, at sea and abroad.  Mrs. Becky Linam was the Location Coordinator for the local ceremony, which ran smoothly, despite inclement weather.

Friends, family, and local constituents, including Congressman Robert Aderholt, State Representative Tracey Estes, and Mayor Ken Sunseri gathered to Honor, Remember, and Participate.  Wreaths were distributed for the following local Veterans at Winston Memorial:
