The Haleyville City Council met on Monday, August 1, 2022, during which they approved of moving proceeds from the sale of Frontier Property into a CD, and replacing Healthcare Committee Member Johnathan Bennet with Dr. Jerry Harrison.  Also approved, were the following Resolutions:

     1) RESOLUTION #2022-37

WHEREAS the City of Haleyville has requested bids for Bleacher and Step Improvements – Haleyville Dixie Youth Ballfields, AND

WHEREAS bids for this work were accepted by the City of Haleyville until 2:00 p.m., local time, on Thursday, July 14, 2022, at Haleyville City Hall.  The following is a summary of the bids received:

WHEREAS, Project Engineer, Calvin Cassady, P.E., has reviewed the bids received and recommends that the City of Haleyville award this project to M & S Elite Contracting for their base bid amount of $30,215.00.    

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Haleyville, that Mayor Ken Sunseri is hereby authorized to execute the attached Notice of Award in the amount of $30,215.00 to award this project to M & S Elite Contracting for Bleacher and Step Improvements – Haleyville Dixie Youth Ballfields.

     2) RESOLUTION #2022-38

WHEREAS sealed bids for the construction of 2022 Resurfacing Project – Brookhaven Subdivision, Rebuild Alabama Grant (RALG) Project were received and opened on Thursday, July 28, 2022, at 2:00 p.m., by Angela L. Henline, P.E., at Haleyville City Hall. Bids received are summarized below:

WHEREAS, the Project Engineer, Calvin Cassady, P.E., has reviewed the bids received and recommends that the project be awarded to Central Alabama Asphalt & Construction Company, LLC for their Base Bid of $308,850.00.

NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Haleyville, that Mayor Ken Sunseri is hereby authorized to execute the Notice of Award to award this project to Central Alabama Asphalt & Construction Company, LLC to construct the 2022 Resurfacing Project – Brookhaven Subdivision.

     3) RESOLUTION #2022-39

WHEREAS sealed bids for the construction of 2022 Sewer Rehabilitation Project, Sewer Line Test and Seal, were received and opened on Thursday, July 28, 2022, at 2:30 p.m., by Angela L. Henline, P.E., at Haleyville City Hall. Bids received are summarized below:

WHEREAS, the Project Engineer, Calvin Cassady, P.E., has reviewed the bids received and recommends that the project be awarded to Video Industrial Services, Inc. for their Base Bid ($256,002.80) plus Additive Alternate No. 1 ($17,500.00) thus making the total project award amount $273,502.80.

NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Haleyville, that Mayor Ken Sunseri is hereby authorized to execute the Notice of Award to award this project to Video Industrial Services, Inc. to construct the 2022 Sewer Rehabilitation Project, Sewer Line Test and Seal.
