Statement Regarding Allegations and Rumors Concerning the

Winston County School System

Several allegations and rumors are currently circulating regarding some of the schools in the Winston County School System.

First, I want everyone to know that the safety of our students and employees is my highest priority.

Second, I want everyone to know that we have thoroughly investigated every incident that has been reported to us, and students that have made inappropriate comments have been dealt with in a manner that ensures school safety.

To be clear, no Winston County School has been evacuated or closed due to active shooters, bomb threats, or any other acts of violence.

I thank you for your concern, support, and help in making our school system the best it can be.
