Haleyville Police Sergeant Rodney Shirley returned to work Monday evening after being on medical leave since his May 14 accident [see HPD Officer Injured].

Shirley had been out on medical leave after his police SUV flipped several times on HWY13S while responding to a call. Reogas was notified last week that Shirley was cleared for duty.

"We're fortunate his injuries were not worse," Police Chief Kyle Reogas said. He added, "I'm thrilled to have him back on patrol."
