Tonya Dye, 39 of Haleyville, has been arrested for Capital Murder, Second Degree Arson, and Obstructing a Governmental Operation in connection with the January 13, 2014 death of Timmy D. Hyde. Hyde's body was found inside his home by Haleyville firemen after the mobile home was destroyed by fire, and autopsy results concluded he was dead before the fire began. Dye is reportedly Hyde's girlfriend, but officials are not releasing a motive for the crimes at this time.
Dye was arrested Friday evening, and she is currently being held in the Marion County Jail without bond. The investigation was conducted by the Alabama State Fire Marshal's Office, Marion County Sheriff's Department, Haleyville Fire Department, and the Haleyville Police Department.
