ALEA, HAMILTON POST  –  A two-vehicle crash at 8:55 a.m. Thursday, January 17, has claimed the life of a Double Springs man. Billy Ray Cagle, 71, was killed when the 1989 Chevrolet pickup he was driving collided with a 2018 Western Star Truck. Cagle was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the Western Star Truck was not injured. The crash occurred on AL. 195 at the 29.2-mile marker, approximately five miles north of Double Springs. Nothing further is available as Alabama State Troopers continue to investigate.
