Jerry Jackson, a Haleyville attorney, was struck and killed early Saturday morning in front of his residence on Dime Road. Jackson apparently was crossing the road to his mailbox when struck by a vehicle driven by an 18-year old Haleyville man. No charges have been filed and no other information is available at this time. The accident is being investigated by the Alabama State Troopers.
