The Haleyville City Council met Monday with all members present and approved the April general operation bills for $439,089.10. The Council approved new radios and phones from the Northwest Alabama Gas District. The phone service is being changed from Southern Link to AT&T. There will be 32 new radios and 10 phones.

Mayor Sunseri announced the U.S. flag at city hall is flying at half mast to commemorate Fallen Officers week. Following the regular session, the Council interviewed one candidate for Fire Chief and held a work session. The next meeting of the Haleyville City Council will be on Monday, June 5.
