A two-vehicle crash on Highway 129 at 3:40 pm Wednesday afternoon left the driver of a white Nissan, Lindsey Howard, 22, Hackleburg, with an injury to her right knee and leg. She was driving into the setting sun and reportedly did not see the 18-wheeler which was pulling out onto the highway from CBC Distributing. Her car went up under the left rear of the empty flatbed trailer. Members of the Haleyville Police and Haleyville Fire Departments were at the scene. Reportedly he nearest RPS ambulance was in Jasper at the time and an ambulance from the Phil Campbell Rescue responded to the scene. The crash was investigated by the Haleyville Police.
