The Winston County BamaCarry chapter will be hosting a “Meet The Candidate” November 7th, 2017 at the Galley restaurant. Starting time is at 7 pm. Sam McLure, Republican candidate for the office of Alabama Attorney General will be the guest speaker. Everyone is invited, bring a friend and come early to eat!

It is something that happens every day. Maybe not as big a leak as this one, but the Haleyville Water Department is averaging repairing a leak or correcting a problem every day. Saturday, their day started at 2 a.m. with a reported leak on 30th Street. A 10 inch PVC mainline split and was turning dirt into mud. As crews worked for the rest of the morning on that leak, another was discovered around 5 a.m. on a 6-inch line in the Cripple Creek Subdivision. Both lines were back in service by noon with line flushing for a few hours to get things back to normal. All in a day’s (even Saturdays) work for the Haleyville Water Department.
