    HHS alumni Day is ALWAYS the First Saturday in June!

    Alumni Parade 10 a.m.  Line-up HES parking lot 9 a.m.

    Luncheon following parade at Noon       HES Cafetorium      Tickets -$15

    The menu is barbecue pork, baked beans, potato salad, slaw, roll, drink, and dessert.Tickets may be purchased at Traders and Farmers Bank or by mailing your money to:

  • Local Weekend Events

    This is Memorial Day weekend. In Haleyville, it means Friday night will be the graduation ceremony for 105 Haleyville High seniors at 8 p.m. at Bubba Scott Field.

    The annual Coal Fest is this weekend in Brilliant, a celebration of the town’s rich coal mining history. The two-day festival begins Friday afternoon, May 26 with crafts, food, fun, music and an antique car show. Google or check Facebook for a schedule of events. Starting Friday night is the two-night Sheffield Street party, a fundraiser for Northwest Shoals Community College scholarships. Ads for the music lineup can be heard on Paradise 92.7.
