• High-Speed Internet Access

    Internet

When communities have access to high-speed Internet, they can unleash new economic opportunities that strengthen businesses, expand access to jobs, and revitalize downtowns.

The City of Haleyville hopes to achieve this vision—and you’re invited to take part in the brainstorming process. Please join us on Tuesday, February 21, 2017, from 6-8 p.m. for a public meeting at the Haleyville City Hall.

This meeting will strategize ways for the City of Haleyville residents, businesses, and regional partners to implement and make the most of your high-speed Internet access. Come provide input and share your ideas with City community leaders. Representatives from Smart Growth America—national experts in community development—will also be present to answer your questions and provide insight into success stories from around the country.

Cool & Connected, a planning assistance program sponsored by the U.S. Department of Agriculture Rural Utilities Service, EPA’s Office of Sustainable Communities, and the Appalachian Regional Commission, helps small towns use broadband service to revitalize their main streets and promote economic development
