It is official. WJBB AM/FM radio stations have been sold and changes are in the making. AMS Radio, LLC recently acquired the assets of Haleyville Broadcasting Company which owned both stations. A complete change of format and programming will take place Saturday night, December 31, New Year's Eve, at the stroke of midnight.

A public reception and party will be held in the back meeting room at the Galley Restaurant starting at 9 p.m. A live broadcast of music plus a special look at the history of WJBB will be presented. After paying homage to WJBB, the new owners will be introduced with plans for the changes to the operation of both stations. Other special guests will include past and present employees.

Just before midnight as the count down to the new year begins, WJBB AM and WJBB FM will sign off the air forever. At 12 midnight, WWWH 1230 AM and WWWH 92.7 FM will begin broadcasting with new formats and a new way to get the news, information, weather and great music that will sound like Paradise.

The Galley will feature the group South Paw playing live out front and Chef Loco's special gumbo. Dress will be casual.
