Saying that the city looks the best it ever has, Mayor Ken Sunseri announced Monday that the City Council was giving the Operation Holiday Committee a Certificate of Appreciation.

The Committee has worked to bring all the new Christmas decorations to the city.

In a short, pre-holiday meeting with all members present, except Jonathan Bennett, the Council approved November bills of $341,408.83 and a new personnel roster for Haleyville Fire and the Haleyville Rescue Squad.

The next meeting of the council is Tuesday, January 3, 2012, 7 PM.
