The Haleyville Board of Education met Tuesday night took the following action:
Approved board expenditures for September, 2011, in the amount of $1,292,092.96 and for October, 2011, in the amount of $1,440.232.64;
Approved substitute teacher list;
Approved fund Balance Policy in accordance with GASB Statement 54. Policy has been approved by personnel components;
Approved Lee Helms Associates to make application and project management for Safe Rooms for Haleyville High School, Haleyville Middle School, and Haleyville Elementary School;
Approved Revision of Salary Deductions Policy in Accordance with Alabama Code 16-22-6. Policy has been approved by personnel components;
Approved two fundraisers;
Accepted the extension of Maternity Leave for Dina Sparks for 2nd semester;
Approved Family Medical Leave for Julia H. Ellis through January 2, 2012;
Approved Family Medical Leave for Emily Johnson from February 14, 2012 to April 6, 2012;
Hired Kelley Reid for 2nd semester elementary teacher at HES;
Hired Ashley Mitchell for 2nd semester elementary teacher at HES;
Hired Stacey Barnett, Beverly Donaldson and Misty Fannin as temporary, part-time 6th Grade Life Skills Facilitators for the remainder of the 2011-2012 school year. These are grant funded positions; and,
Approved part time, temporary, supplemental employment of Cody Victors as a student aide for the 21st Century Community Learning Center After school program during the 2011 – 2012 school year.
