Phil Campbell, Ala. -- The Legend of Toyland, a holiday theatrical performance that traditionally opens the holiday season commemorates its 30th year with public performances beginning Friday, December 2, 2011 at 7:30 p.m. in the gymnasium on the Phil Campbell Campus of Northwest-Shoals Community College.
According to Lanny McAlister, director and creator of “Toyland”, the area has truly embraced the annual production over the years making it the most successful and longest running Christmas production in the state. The college production has attracted audiences of all ages from all over the state and is viewed by over 10,000 people annually.
“I get questions year round about what new sections we are going to add this year. We are so thankful for the continued support from the community over the past 29 years,” said McAlister. “It is this continued support that has truly made ‘The Legend of Toyland’ what it is today.”
Four public performances are scheduled December 2nd through December 4th.
Friday, December 2nd 7:30 p.m.
Saturday, December 3rd 2:30 p.m. & 7:30 p.m.
Sunday, December 4th 2:30 p.m.
Tickets for public performances are $8.00 and are available at the Northwest-Shoals Community College Phil Campbell cashier’s office or can be reserved with credit card by calling (256) 331-6382 until 3pm Wednesday, November 30th.
