Governor Robert Bentley toured KITH Kitchens and KITH Furniture Tuesday. KITH received a CDBG Float Loan from the state. The loan was vital to expanding the kitchen division and starting the furniture division. The expansion has already created 118 new jobs, with 70 more planned.
Bentley was in Winston County as part of his “Road to Economic Recovery Tour.” Bentley said, “Most new jobs come from local companies like this expanding; I like making these kinds of visits.”
The owners of KITH Kitchens, LLC, and KITH Furniture, LLC, are Craig and Ken Smith and Bo Knight. The company offers residential kitchen cabinets to 31 states and bedroom furniture in 15 states. Manufacturing operations are based in Haleyville with five plants employing 260 people.
