Council Meets

State funds will take care of repairs to the Armed Forces Joint Readiness Training Center approach road and the City will be advertising for bids for a new 4x4 Quick Attack/Brush Fire Truck for Haleyville Fire/Rescue. Funds for the new apparatus are from the 2010 FEMA/DHS assistance to firefighters grant program with the 5% match coming from the fire dues account.  Total Grant including fire department match is $127,000.  The City Council, Monday night, also approved August General Operation Expenses of $300,979.74.

The Council will meet again, Monday, October 3, 7 PM.
