New Jail Open Before Labor Day

The new WInston County Jail should be open before Labor Day, Sheriff Rick Harris said. The Fire Marshall has given his clearance and the final touches are now being completed. "There's nothing major, just some minor things," Harris said. Currently, some plumbing issues are being resolved and a pre-opening Health Department inspection is being scheduled.
