The City Council met Tuesday evening and took the following action:
Approved Zoning of R-1 for property belonging to Ricky and Venita Armstrong; approved changing of Chris Saylor to regular full-time; approved hiring Robert Brentise and Michael McDonald at Streets and Sanitation as temporary seasonal employees; approved the application for a Community Development Block Grant and $72,000 in matching funds, should the grant be approved, to destroy and remove the dilapidated/vacant former Hughes Building, also known as “Old Elementary Buildings”; and approved renewing two lines of credit, one for $300,000 and one for $500,000.
The next meeting of the Council will be Monday, July 18, 7 PM, City Hall.
