Haleyville High School alumni renewed many memories during HHS Alumni Day activities Saturday, June 4. The traditional parade followed by a luncheon at the Haleyville Elementary cafetorium had fewer participates than in past years, but the enthusiasm was for renewing old friendships was felt everywhere. The HHS class of '61 won the award for most attendees and largest percentage.
The Service and Dedication Award was presented to Haleyville Mayor Ken Sunseri for his service to the school and the city. Ricky McCreless accepted the Alumnus of the Year Award on behalf of Will Walker, who was unable to attend the luncheon. The Haleyville High Alumni Day is set for the first Saturday in June each year. Please make your plans to attend next year.
