Haleyville City Schools will re-open Monday.
“As of now, plans are to be back in school Monday, May 2, at regular start - end times. Buses will run regular routes and lunches will be served,” Superintendent Clint Baggett said in an email Saturday evening.
Baggett is hoping the system will not have to make up the three days missed, adding days to a school year already plagued by several snow-forced closures. “I encourage all to write, call, email, text, etc., our legislators, the governor and Dr. Morton about these last days missed,” Baggett said.
