Bud Wilson, Chairman of the Haleyville Water Board, stated this morning water service has been restored. However, because of the low pressure and slow flow rate any water to be consumed should be boilded before using. Electrical generators have been placed into service to operate the pumps which supply the water to Haleyville. Normal water flow will not be available until full electrical service has been restored. At this time, no one knows when that will be becuase of the massive outage all over the state.
The Neighborhood Facilities Builiding is presently being used for emergency shelter. The Haleyville Fire Department is being utilized as the central location for relief operations.
