Six people are in jail and police say that four burglaries from last week are now solved.

The burglaries occurred last week at the Small Miracles Daycare, Seniors Citizens Center, Littleville Oil, and the Chamber of Commerce Conference Center. Over $3,000 worth of cash, checks and merchandise were stolen during the burglary spree.

On Tuesday, Haleyville Police arrested six people, including two juveniles, for the crimes.

Arrested were Kimberly Nicole Dutton, 19, of Carl Elliott Heights; Dillon Louis “Magic” Mead, 19, of Alabama Avenue; Thomas Colegrove, 18, 11th Avenue; Cotey Allen Speyer, 19, of Carl Elliott Heights; and two juveniles, one 15, the other 17.

The adults are in Winston County Jail without bond. The juveniles were transported to a juvenile detention facility. All face charges for multiple counts of burglary and theft of property.

Police recovered over $1,900 worth of merchandise. The theft from Small Miracles included $1,200 in cash and checks for Relay for Life and have not been recovered.

HPD Chief Kyle Reogas told reporters Wednesday that the case is still under investigation. He added that all his officers were upset by the thefts and all worked on the investigation.
