FD Receives Grant from Walmart Foundation

The Walmart Foundation awarded the Haleyville Fire Department $1,000 for its fire prevention program. General Manager Ken Farr presented HFD Chief Philip Weaver with the check Friday.

"We work hard to give back to the community, and this is part of it," Farr said. The money will be used to help educate children and senior citizens. These two groups are at highest risk in fire fatalities.
