Haleyville Schools will make up one snow day on Monday, January 17, Superintendent Clint Baggett announced.
The day was scheduled as a non-student day with teachers coming in from 1 - 7 PM for professional development and parent conferences. To make-up one day missed and preserve the professional development day, students and faculty are to report to school Monday, January 17, at regular school start time. Students will be dismissed at 1:15 PM, after lunch is served at all schools with buses running regular home routes. Professional Development activities followed by parent conferences will continue for faculty until 7 PM
"This will enable us to put in two schedule days in one," Baggett said. He added, "Nobody likes schedule changes, but adjustments must be made and this will allow us to begin the process to get back on our regular school calendar."
