Council Certifies Wet/Dry Election

The City Council met Tuesday at 11:45 AM and passed Resolution 2010-20 certifying the results of the Municipal Option Election conducted June 1.

Resolution 2010-20: "Now, Therefore be it resolved by the City Council of the City of Haleyville, Alabama, as follows: 1. That the majority of the votes cast were in favor of the legal sale and distribution of alcoholic beverages within the municipality of the City of Haleyville."

The final vote totals were certified as 819 (56%) in favor, 643 (44%) opposed. Breakdown by boxes:
