The Great Haleyville Homecoming will be held Saturday, June 5, 2010, in conjunction with Haleyville Alumni Day.  Festivities will begin with the Homecoming Parade at 10:30 AM, followed immediately with the Alumni Luncheon at the Haleyville Elementary Cafetorium.  Mayor Ken Sunseri will unveil a new historic marker at the Downtown Park at 2 PM for participating in the Great Alabama Homecoming Year, sponsored by the Governor’s Office.

An “Historic Walk Down Main Street” will be narrated by Jerry Jackson of the Haleyville Historical Society, and lemonade will be served at The Teal Professional Building, listed on the Alabama and National Historic Registers.

The walk will proceed to the Library, where a reproduction of an historic mural, “Reforestation” will be unveiled, painted by local artist Robert Raburn.

Dr. and Mrs. Joe Teal will also have an open House at the Historic Feldman Home immediately following the walk.. Various parties and reunions will be held Saturday night. Reconnect with friends, family and our great state of Alabama during the Great Haleyville Homecoming.
