A police chase from Bear Creek, through Haleyville, ended in Marion County on Monday with the arrest of Christopher Michael Brimer, 35, of Mize Loop. The incident began with a call to police reporting that a nude male was standing in a road in Bear Creek.

Bear Creek Police responded and notified Haleyville Police that a suspect in the incident was supposedly driving in the direction of Haleyville.  HPD Sergeant Rodney Shirley met a vehicle on HWY129 that matched the description. According to police, the vehicle was on the wrong side of the road when SGT Shirley spotted it. He gave pursuit, during which police allege that the vehicle continued down HW129 on both sides of the road, meeting oncoming traffic.

The vehicle turned on Mize Loop and pulled into a driveway, where SGT Shirley took Brimer into custody. Brimer was booked at HPD with Driving Under the Influence (Ala. Code 32-5A-191.3) and Reckless Endangerment (Ala. Code 13A-6-24), then transported to the Winston County Jail.
