One Injured in Auto Accident

Members of the Haleyville and Pebble Fire Departments were called to the scene of a one-vehicle accident on Highway 195 near the Whitman service station Friday morning at approximately 3 a.m.  The initial report was the 2001 PT Cruiser had struck a power pole and there were live electrical wires trapping the driver. As it turned out, it was a telephone pole, actually two of them and while the driver Joseph Ray Hulsey of Haleyville had to be extracted by the firemen, there was no danger of live electrical wires. Hulsey was transported by ambulance to Lakeland Community Hospital ER with non-life threatening injuries. The accident was investigated by an Alabama State Trooper.
