Dr. Holly Sutherland Welcomes Andrew Crisp

The Haleyville City Board of Education met Tuesday and approved the financial statements and board expenditures for January in the amount of $1,192,937.30. Other items approved were the 2016 HHS varsity and HMS junior varsity football schedules, and the district supplemental employee listing,

The Board approve the purchase of a dishwasher/food disposer for $30,705.00 from the low bidder, CNP Equipment in Birmingham. 

Also approved was the Student Religious Expressions Policy and the Virtual Education Option Policy. The 2016-17 Haleyville City Schools calendar, athletic assignment list and supplemental assignments lists were approved. 

Approval was granted for the use of school facilities for three upcoming events. One field trip and three fund-raisers were also approved. 

Under personnel, the board accepted the resignation of Miles Holcomb as teacher and coach. Joel Steve Berry was hired as a custodian at HHS and Andrew Crisp as a math teacher at HHS. 

The next scheduled meeting of the Haleyville City Board of Education will be Tuesday, March 22.
