The record-breaking rain on Christmas Day caused flooding throughout north Alabama. In Winston County, all of the county roads were closed most of the day Friday until an assessment of each road was made to reopen. Some roads had to be closed completely. Those which are open may still have hazards. Watch for barriers and drive cautiously.

As though that was not enough, another cold front is pushing it's way through the area this morning, bringing up to 1.5 inches of rain. Some of the thunderstorms may be severe. A flash flood watch is in effect all day today. Stay tuned to Paradise 92.7 for the latest updates on the weather and road conditions.
