A single-vehicle crash at 7:05 a.m. Saturday, 3 October, has claimed the life of a Haleyville teen. Cory M. Hill, 13, was killed when the 1998 Honda Civic in which he was a passenger left the roadway and struck a utility pole. The vehicle’s driver, Kristopher Jason Hill, 17, of Haleyville was transported to UAB Hospital in Birmingham. The crash occurred on Winston County 17, eight miles south of Haleyville. Nothing further is available as Alabama State Troopers continue to investigate.
The family is asking for help funding funeral expenses for Cory who was a 7th grader and played trumpet in the Winston County High School band. You can donate at the following site: https://www.gofundme.com/qv5juek4
