Haleyville Woman Killed in Accident

A single-vehicle crash at 10:30 a.m. Monday, August 31, has claimed the life of a Haleyville woman. Minerva Cruz Jones, 64, was killed when the 1999 Honda CR-V she was driving left the roadway and struck an embankment. Jones was pronounced dead at the scene.  The crash occurred on Alabama 5 within the town limits of Lynn.  Nothing further is available as Alabama State Troopers continue to investigate.
