The planned power outage last Thursday for the west end of downtown Haleyville was postponed and will occur Tuesday. Because Alabama Power crews worked throughout the night last Wednesday on storm outages, the planned work downtown had to be postponed till Tuesday, August 24. This outage will affect several businesses including Traders and Farmers Bank downtown and in turn the two Haleyville branch offices at the drive-thu across from the First Baptist Church and the West House. All three share a common computer server system downtown. The Bear Creek, Lynn and Double Springs Traders and Farmers Bank offices will be open. If you planned to bank at T&F in Haleyville on Tuesday, you may want to do that Monday or Wednesday.
