Special Agents with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s State Bureau of Investigations arrested Wednesday, June 3, six individuals on drug charges as part of a joint investigation with Franklin County Sheriff Shannon Oliver, Winston County Sheriff Hobby Walker and Winston County District Attorney Jack Bostick.

Investigators from the partnering agencies first identified a methamphetamine supplier and two other subjects who had outstanding warrants. Then, information gathered led to a search warrant of a residence in Haleyville, which resulted in three additional arrests, along with the seizure of methamphetamine and cash.  In Winston County, Emily C. Young, Gladys Ivepte Rodriguez Valle and Bailey N. Justice were arrested for Trafficking in Methamphetamine at a house in the Briarwood sub-division reportedly owned by Emily Young. All three are being held in the Winston County jail with a $1 million bond each.  In Franklin County, Michael Kelley and Jeff W. Wright were arrested for Trafficking in Methamphetamine, and Cody Barnes was arrested for Possession of a Controlled Substance (Methamphetamine) and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

Total seizures for this joint effort were $11,700 in U.S. currency, two vehicles and 8 ounces methamphetamine.
