Congressman Robert Aderholt cut the ribbon Friday afternoon for the new Haleyville Water Department office building at the west end of 21st Street at Alabama Avenue.
On hand for the ceremony were Mayor Ken Sunseri, board members and employees of the Water and Sewer Department.
The $700,000 facility features a drive through for customer connivence. However, Department Manager David Cox stated if you use the the drive through, you must have your bill and cash or a check to pay. No credit or debit cards will be accepted at the window, but will be inside the office. The new office will be opened for business Monday morning.
