A band of severe weather moved through the area Monday evening. There was no major destruction in our area, however, trees and power lines were down across the area, leaving thousands without power. The worst destruction was in the Helican community where a tree fell on a house.
As always, we thank our community first responders for keeping us safe and responding to emergency situations, even in adverse conditions. Also, thank you to the linemen who continue working diligently to restore power across the State of Alabama, and finally, thank you for listening to Paradise 92.7 and following HBTV for live weather coverage. We will be here the next time we are needed!
