The Haleyville City Council held its regular meeting Monday, March 15.
The Council took the following action: approved February general operation bills in the amount of $480,534.91, approved change order for North Industrial Park water lines, approved change order for neighborhood improvement grant, approved the purchase of a 3,000-gallon tanker truck from Pro-Fire of Pelham for the fire department, approved advertising for a bid to remove metal cells in jail, approved advertising for Parks and Recreation lifeguards, and re-appointed Joyce Carruth and Harold Coan and appointed Paul Williams to the Tree Commission.
A citizen expressed his concerns about dogs in the city. Mayor Ken Sunseri explained that the individual used for animal control is unable to use his normal means of euthanasia but is taking action to remedy the situation.
The next regular meeting of the Council will be Monday, April 5, 7 PM.
