Regional Paramedical Services has received final word that they have earned accreditation from The Commission on Accreditation of Ambulance Services. This organization was created to encourage and promote quality patient care in the nation's medical transportation system. This process includes a comprehensive self-assessment and an independent external review of the EMS organization to provide verification of the quality care provided.
David Waid, Chief Operating Officer of RPS, stated they are extremely pleased of the gold standard they have established for the nine counties served by RPS. Both Marion and Winston Counties are included in the coverage area. According to the CAAS website, RPS is only the second ambulance service in the state of Alabama to receive this accreditation.
Information was provided by the RPS press release.
