Fire Destroys Vacant Home

There was a residential fire on JR Butler Drive, just off State Highway 172, in Bear Creek Tuesday around 2:30 p.m. The home was unoccupied and under renovation. The Bear Creek and Haleyville Fire Departments responded to the scene, but the home was a complete loss. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
