A Winter Storm Warning has been issued for Haleyville and many of the surrounding 
communities.  Here is the detailed information provided by the National Weather 
Service regarding this storm system. 
...MULTIPLE ROUNDS OF WINTER WEATHER LIKELY ACROSS NORTH CENTRAL
ALABAMA TONIGHT THROUGH WEDNESDAY NIGHT...

.AN UPPER LEVEL DISTURBANCE WILL APPROACH ALABAMA FROM THE WEST
LATER TODAY. AT THE SAME TIME...NORTHERLY WINDS WILL PUSH COLDER
AIR SOUTHWARD OVER ALABAMA. THE PRECIPITATION WILL START OUT AS
LIGHT RAIN THIS EVENING...BUT WILL BECOME MIXED WITH SNOW...
SLEET...AND FREEZING RAIN LATER TONIGHT THROUGH TUESDAY MORNING.

ANOTHER ROUND OF WINTRY WEATHER NOW APPEARS LIKELY TUESDAY NIGHT
THROUGH WEDNESDAY NIGHT FOR MUCH OF NORTH CENTRAL ALABAMA. THIS
SECOND ROUND OF WINTER WEATHER MAY HAVE HIGHER ACCUMULATIONS OF
SNOW AND SLEET FOR MUCH OF NORTH CENTRAL ALABAMA THAN THE FIRST
ROUND OCCURRING TONIGHT INTO TUESDAY. FREEZING RAIN WILL ALSO BE
POSSIBLE SOUTH OF THE HIGHEST SNOW TOTALS.

PLEASE STAY UPDATED ON THE LATEST FORECASTS AND WARNINGS FOR THE
THE MOST UP TO DATE INFORMATION ON THIS DANGEROUS WINTER STORM.
...WINTER STORM WARNING IN EFFECT FROM 9 PM THIS EVENING TO
MIDNIGHT CST WEDNESDAY NIGHT...

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN BIRMINGHAM HAS ISSUED A WINTER
STORM WARNING FOR SNOW...SLEET...AND FREEZING RAIN...WHICH IS IN
EFFECT FROM 9 PM THIS EVENING TO MIDNIGHT CST WEDNESDAY NIGHT. THE
WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY IS NO LONGER IN EFFECT.

* TIMING...THE FIRST ROUND OF WINTRY PRECIPITATION MAY BEGIN AS
  EARLY AS 9 PM THIS EVENING FOR THE FAR NORTHWESTERN COUNTIES OF
  CENTRAL ALABAMA...AND LAST THROUGH TUESDAY AFTERNOON. A SECOND
  ROUND OF WINTRY PRECIPITATION WILL LIKELY BEGIN TUESDAY NIGHT
  AND LAST THROUGH WEDNESDAY NIGHT.

* LOCATION...THE BEST POTENTIAL FOR SNOW AND SLEET ACCUMULATIONS
  THROUGH TUESDAY WILL BE FOR AREAS GENERALLY ALONG AND NORTH OF A
  LINE FROM ALICEVILLE TO TUSCALOOSA TO TALLADEGA TO HEFLIN. FOR
  SEVERAL MILES SOUTH OF THIS LINE...ACCUMULATIONS OF FREEZING
  RAIN WILL ALSO BE POSSIBLE.

* ACCUMULATIONS...OF ONE TO TWO INCHES OF SNOW AND SLEET WILL BE
  LIKELY THROUGH TUESDAY ACROSS MUCH OF NORTH CENTRAL ALABAMA.
  FURTHER SOUTH BETWEEN ONE AND TWO TENTHS OF AN INCH OF FREEZING
  RAIN WILL BE POSSIBLE. THIS INCLUDES THE CITIES OF TUSCALOOSA...
  BIRMINGHAM...AND ANNISTON. ADDITIONAL SIGNIFICANT ACCUMULATIONS
  OF WINTRY PRECIPITATION NOW APPEAR LIKELY TUESDAY NIGHT THROUGH
  WEDNESDAY NIGHT.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

THE MULTIPLE ROUNDS OF WINTER WEATHER WILL MAKE TRAVEL VERY
HAZARDOUS ACROSS MUCH OF NORTH CENTRAL ALABAMA. SPORADIC POWER
OUTAGES MAY BE POSSIBLE FOR LOCATIONS THAT RECEIVE THE HIGHEST
TOTALS OF FREEZING RAIN.

A WINTER STORM WARNING MEANS SIGNIFICANT AMOUNTS OF SNOW...
SLEET...AND ICE ARE EXPECTED OR OCCURRING. THIS WILL MAKE TRAVEL
VERY HAZARDOUS OR IMPOSSIBLE.
