All-State Football Teams Announced

The Alabama Sportswriters Association announced the All-State Football Teams Sunday in Montgomery.  Several local athletes were given this honor after great seasons. All local athletes chosen have completed their senior season in their respective schools. 

In Class 4A, Haleyville's Ben Richards was named the punter for the 4A All-State Football Team. 

In Class 1A, several athletes were chosen for the All-State Team. They are listed below. 

Wide Receiver: Ben Cagle of Lynn High School

Offensive Line: Dalton Hamby of Hackleburg

Athlete: Brody Meeks of Lynn High School

Athlete: Dorryl Swanigan of Marion County High School

Also, receiving honorable mention were the following athletes.

Running Back: Tristan Quinn of Hackleburg High School

Linebacker: Franky Melson of Addison High School 

Athlete: Tyler Crumpton of Phillips High School
