The National Weather Service in Birmingham has canceled the Fire Weather Watch previously in place and upgraded all of Central Alabama, including Marion, Winston, and Franklin Counties, to a Red Flag Warning.  This means fire weather conditions are currently or will soon be in place in the area. Strong winds, low relative humidity, and warm temperatures will contribute to extreme fire behavior, and outdoor fires should be avoided today to avoid unintentionally spreading fires to structures.  The Red Flag Warning is in effect until 5:00 p.m.
