There was a two vehicle accident at the intersection of State Highway 241 and County Road 34 (Cherry Hill Road) just outside Bear Creek Friday around 9 a.m. The Haleyville Fire Department, Bear Creek Fire Department, Bear Creek Police Department, and Alabama Department of Public Safety responded to the accident.

According to officials on the scene, a black 1991 Chevy truck was traveling on Cherry Hill Road and went through the intersection before it was hit on the front driver's side by a white 1996 Dodge Dakota that was pulling a boat. The Chevy truck left the roadway and came to a stop in a grassy area off the side of the road.

The Chevy truck was driven by Brian Reynolds, 41 of Haleyville. His passengers were Ashley Reynolds, 27 of Haleyville, and J.W. Chambers, 49 of Haleyville. Bryan Reynolds and Chambers were taken by ambulance to Russellville Hospital, and Ashley Reynolds was airlifted to the North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo. The Dodge was driven by Paul D. Gray, 70 of Winfield, and his passenger was Linda P. Gray, 67 of Winfield.  They were both transported to Northwest Medical Center in Winfield.
