REMINDER: The Town of Bear Creek is hosting a retirement reception for Police Chief Ed Franks Monday, October 21, 2013. The reception will be held at the Bobby Bishop Community Center immediately following the Bear Creek City Council meeting, which will be held at 6:00 p.m.

Mayor Connie Morrison stated, "This retirement is bittersweet for the Town of Bear Creek. I am so glad Ed is able to retire in good health and will be able to travel with his wife. However, it will be very strange for him to not be the Police Chief for the Town of Bear Creek. It has been a pleasure to work with him for the past few years, and I am so glad he will be able to do the things he is looking forward to without the stress of Bear Creek law enforcement on his shoulders every day."

All previous city council members, mayors, and police officers are encouraged to attend, but everyone is invited for the council meeting and the reception.
