The Haleyville City Board of Education met Tuesday evening.  Ms. Manasco was absent, but all other members were present.  First, the board approved the agenda for the evening and the minutes from the previous board meeting. The following items were approved. 

-July expenditures $1,211,224.76

-August expenditures $1,247,558.47

-Field trip request for PYLI students to attend the Leadership Conference in Guin, AL

-Two declarations of surplus equipment

-FY 2014 budget

-Field trip request for HHS Softball to the Gulf Coast Classic in Gulf Shores

-Field trip request for HHS Softball to Bob Jones Softball Tournament

-Construction contract with Dymac Contracting for track improvement

-Contract with Goodwyn, Mills, and Cawood, Inc. for architecture and design services for baseball and softball lighting projects

-Revised sponsor supplements for 2013-14 school year

-Volunteer coaches for basketball: Jason Yarbrough (MS boys), Jordan Scott (MS boys), Dylan Burleson (JV boys), David Godsey (JV girls)

-12 fundraisers

-FMLA for Thomas McCloth beginning around Oct. 1

-Contract extension for Mike Bachelor from 187 days to 202 days
