The Haleyville High School Automotive Technology Program had two students who participated in the National Automotive Technology Competition last week in Kansas City. Kent Glass and Jacob Cornelius are shown in the photos above competing in their divisions of the national competition. There were over 20,000 students from all fifty states competing in this competition.
Glass has been in the Auto Tech Program at HHS for three years. He is the 2013 Alabama Diesel Skills USA Champion and placed 14th in his division the national competition.
Cornelius has been a member of the program for one year and is the 2013 Alabama Motorcycle Skills USA Champion. He also earned 6th place in his division at the national competition.
Congratulations to these young men and to Mike Batchelor, sponsor of the HHS Auto Tech Program.
