The summer heat has officially arrived in Alabama. A northern portion of the state, including Franklin County, is under a heat advisory this afternoon as the heat index is forcasted to reach 105 degrees. If you are out in the heat, be sure to take extra precautions, and drink plenty of fluids. Also, be sure your outside pets have plenty of fresh water available to them.
