New Buses for Winston County

The Winston County Board of Education met Tuesday night.  The highlight of the evening was the approval to purchase twelve new buses for the county from Transportation South.  Ten buses will be used for regular routes, and two will be special education buses.  The new buses will replace the oldest in the fleet, and some will be replaced in the Haleyville City School System.  

All other items on the agenda also passed unanimously and are listed below.  

--Accept payrolls and expenditures for the month of February in the amount of $1,973,562.00

--Accept bank reconciliations and financial statements for February 

--Approve two overnight trips for WCHS for Key Club and Beta Club Conventions

--Approve out of state field trip for AES 5th grade to the Georgia Aquarium

--Approve out of state field trip for the gifted program to Atlanta, GA

--Approve catastrophic leave for Stephanie Moomey

--Accept bids for CNP equipment

--Approve updated contracted services and substitute teacher list
